Spam protection

A safer public feedback portal

Stop bots and low-quality submissions without making honest customers solve a puzzle. SupDesk combines invisible bot protection with review queues and controls that fit your plan.

Protection that stays out of the way

Invisible bot protection

Use Cloudflare Turnstile to screen automated traffic before it reaches your feedback forms.

When enabled for a project, Turnstile runs a managed browser check in the background. Real visitors can submit normally without checkboxes or image puzzles.

Pre-publication quarantine

Hold suspicious posts and comments for review instead of publishing them immediately.

Each submission can be published, held for review, or marked as spam. Your team can approve legitimate feedback from one queue, while already-published content is never automatically hidden.

Rules you control

Create keyword, email-domain, link-domain, or privacy-safe IP rules for recurring patterns.

Pro and higher plans can quarantine, block, or allow matching submissions. Rules are normalized at write time and scoped to the project so one product's policy cannot affect another.

Reputation and AI signals

Let trusted contributors move through moderation while AI helps arbitrate ambiguous cases.

Team plans can recognize trusted authors and use AI scoring for the uncertain middle ground. Hard signals and explicit allow rules still resolve first, keeping the expensive path focused.

Privacy-first moderation

Moderate without turning sensitive identifiers into another source of risk.

IP matching uses a short-lived discriminator rather than a raw address. Spam is marked and retained under the configured policy, not silently deleted by the scoring system.

Frequently asked questions

What does SupDesk spam protection do?

It combines optional Turnstile bot checks, submission quarantine, project rules, scoring signals, and a review queue. The goal is to keep suspicious content off the public board while giving your team a clear way to approve real feedback.

Will legitimate feedback disappear?

No. Suspicious new submissions are held or marked for review rather than silently deleted. Published content is not automatically moved out of public view by the moderation system.

What can custom rules match?

Project members can create rules for keywords, email domains, link domains, or a privacy-safe IP discriminator. Each rule can allow, quarantine, or block matching submissions, subject to the plan limit.

Which plans include spam moderation?

Every plan can review quarantined submissions. Pro and higher plans add custom rules and hold policies; Team and higher plans add trusted-author reputation and AI spam scoring.

Does enabling it change existing posts?

No. Existing content defaults to published and the moderation feature only evaluates content at submission time. Your team can still take ordinary, intentional moderation actions from the console.
